Island Batik Unboxing

Seems like Christmas to me when I receive boxes from Island Batik filled with their fabric. Other sponsors also send presents such as batting from Hobbs, needles from Schmetz, thread from Aurifil, a tool from Studio 180 Design, dies from AccuQuilt Go and pattern and notions from industry partner By Annie. Could it get any better. Come along and watch as I open up what I received this last December:

Chantilly 10″ precuts came with two yards of Rosewood and two yards of Mermaid coordinating fabrics to use for my projects. Chantilly is fellow Studio 180 Design instructor, Karen Overton’s collection, designed by Kathy Engle. Karen is known as the Quilt Rambler.

Stashbuilders in beautiful oranges, and black and whites. They are 5″ strips and can be used with so many projects. I love to cut them in half for 2.5″ strips.

Six yards of neutral fabric, Eggshell was included. It has a greenish tint and will go well with the other fabrics I have been given.

I love Island Batik’s solids, and we are generously given 4 yards each of their black, white, and grey to do our projects with. I have used the white to line masks because of the high thread count. They work beautifully with all the gorgeous Island Batik colors.

Each Ambassador was given a fat quarter bundle of gradation fabrics. I received Tantalizing Teals. These are Island Batik foundation fabrics that are available by yardage. The other color ways are Bodacious Blacks, Breathtaking Browns, Brillant Blues, Glorious Greens, Marvelous Multis, Naturally Neutrals, Opulent Oranges, Playful Purples, Precious Pinks, and Ravishing Reds. Don’t they sound delicious!

I received this beautiful half yard bundle for my February Blog Hop – my favorite colors, blues, teals and some greens. The colors sent me down memory lane and I can’t wait to get started with my Row by Row project. I was also given two yards of Jungle and Honeydew to coordinate with my project.

I was also given this half yard bundle of foundation and solid fabrics to use with my projects. The colors are so inviting.

I was also sent a “Surprise” package for my May Blog, but I can’t show you that yet.

Then in the mail today (Monday), I received a couple more gifts not shown in the video: Microtex Chrome 80/12, Topstitch Chrome 90/14, and Quilting Chrome 75/11 needles from Schmetz. Aurifil sent 3 brown 50 weight threads from their Italy collection.
